The product didnt work with my cell phone as I hoped -- it wouldn't stay in the phone and maintain contact -- seemed too small. However, the company was gracious and made every effort to make it better. When I requested a refund instead of a replacement, they quickly refunded the cost and shipping fees. Don't buy this adapter!! The picture shown is not what you will receive, the picture shows a genuine Nokia adapter but what you get is a cheap piece of crap that doesn't even have the same specifications as the Nokia adapter. Bought two of these so I can have them in various places (work, school, home) to charge my Nokia E71x phone. Worked as advertised. One of them did not worked when arrived (the plug didn't go all the way in to the phone). Contacted vendor and they promptly sent another one out. These are just chargers so there is not much to write about. - Its a wall charger...

This charger is wonderful. It fully charges my phone in a matter of just a few hours and saves me time when I'm on the run and in a hurry. I mean imagine there I am in the mall shopping for the Yanni cd or choosing whether to get the blue Cashmere or the red, or in the restaurant deciding on a Scotch or a chardonnay and I'm all lone with no one to talk to on my phone. I love this charger. It takes up next to no room in a suitcase, so I don't hesitate to take it with me when I travel. It charges the battery in half the time (or less) that the directions say it will. And the charge lasts just as long as with larger more expensive models. This charger is great and it is the only one I plan to own.

This charger works great with my Virgin Mobile Aloha phone. I can't tell the difference between this charger and the one that came with the phone. Plus, it's a fraction of the price that Virgin Mobile charges.
- Flimsy, short cord, wouldn't stay connected
I agree with the other negative review above. The photo is of the standard LG charger, but the one you get is a flimsy knock-off that didn't work well. The cord was really short and the damn thing didn't stay connected. It didn't really "snap-in" well and kept popping out. I ended up just buying a real replacement cord from a store -- more expensive, but it worked perfectly. - beware: misleading ad
From the product description, you would never guess that this is not made by LG. When they call it an "LG Travel Charger," when Amazon describes it as a "lightweight, genuine LG charger," and when the photo they show is of the OEM LG charger, it's hard to conclude otherwise.
But no. The only name on the box is Wireless Phone Accessories, made in China. The charger you get is not the one pictured in the ad. It looks different, and it is obviously lighter and cheaper feeling. I just plugged mine in, and it seemed to work just fine.
Is this product worth 50 cents plus $5 shipping? That's for you to decide. But one doesn't expect to get the bait & switch from Amazon, and I'll be returning it. - A fine replacement
Somehow I broke my original charger. This one filled the bill at a very reasonable cost.

We purchased this charger and disregarded other customers warnings about the faulty quality. The charger had a wire exposed when it arrived which we taped, and then the tip fell off. I purchased this item on March 13th 2006, and used it about 3 times while I was travelling (I did not use my phone very much at all). When I got home (I was away for 2 months) I tried to use it again, but one of the blades was missing, and a red wire poking through instead. I can only think it pulled out and was left in the hotel recepticle!
Amazon would not replace this for me as it was over 30 days since my order. (This effectively means everything they sell only has a guarantee for 30 days! Makes you wonder!) - Worthless piece of garbage
This thing is awful - after 1 week of light use, the plastic prong broke off, and it doesn't work. Tells me that it's time to get a new phone, one which has READILY AVAILABLE chargers should I lose mine. - Cheaply constructed
Literally within one minute of opening the package in which charger arrived at my door, one of the plastic clips that secures the charger to the phone whilst in use had broken. I plugged the charger in and connected it to my phone in order to see if it did indeed work. Seeing the indication on my phone's display that it was charging, I removed the plug only to see a disconcerting piece of black plastic break off the end of the plug end of the charger. It still functions, but with only one clip connecting phone and charger, I have to be careful to place the phone in such a way that the plug won't spontaneously pop out. Great as a second (or third, if lost) charger. Works on 230 volts in Europe and South America. At one point, when pulled from a tight plug, the connection inside broke. I was able to solder it back and epoxy the case shut. It worked fine, but eventually, the phone-side connector somehow deteriorated and on occasion (while traveling) the phone did not charge over night. All in all, for the price, I got fair bit of service out of this unit. It became obsolete when I retired my Nokia. - Disappointment :0(
This is not for every Nokia phone! It certainly did not fit mine, though my model no. was one of the ones listed. Be cautious if you order this item because it does not fit the Nokia 6102 flip phone. - Cheap, Functional

I bought this in a pinch when I thought I lost my charger. Was overcharged and it did not fit into the phone properly. I tried to pull it out and the thing broke because it was too big for the phone.
DOES NOT WORK RIGHT!! - "Unauthorized," but still functional
This is the charger that came with my RZR V3C. Before today, there were zero problems. Strangely, today, my phone says "Unauthorized Charger" when I plug it in, but it seems to still be charging nevertheless. If there are any changes, I'll be sure to update this post. - This does not work with the Razr V3
Plain and simple: the item is not manufactured by Motorola, and is reported by the phone as being an "unauthorized charger."
I'm not sure if this is the case only for the new Razr V3 phones, or only with Verizon Razr phones.
Whatever the case, I now am out of town, out of juice, and, unless I run out an buy an "authorized" charger, out of luck until I return home. - Didn't work at all
The light on the charger never lit up when I plug it in, and my Razr never recognized it as a charger. - Not really

- Universal -- or not?
This Charger Adapter is far less than UNIVERSAL. My Adapter wouldn't stay Plugged into the adapter. It kept Popping out. I had to find another one to do the job. - For VERY low-amperage devices, does not live up to specs
The specs for this device indicated that it outputs DC 12V up to 1A, but that is a gross overestimation. I bought this device to power some low-current car devices, radar detectors to be exact, with current ratings around 250-300mA. Plugged one in, as soon as the thing finished initializing it shut off.
Being an electrical engineering student at MIT, I took it down to lab and tested it, and found that whenever I exceeded 200mA the voltage would pulse and a bit over 300 the device cuts power entirely.
This device is only good for low amperage devices, if your device is rated over 200mA I do not recommend it. I'm giving it a 1-star for its purposely deceiving specifications that describe it as capable of 5x the current draw it actually supports. - Not worth the frustration.
The first charger stopped working within a day of use and I got a replacement from Amazon. The replacement worked ok for US (110) voltage but when I took it abroad (230V) and plugged it in for charging my cell phone it started charging for couple of minutes then stopped working. I was lucky that I had my usb charger with me and managed to charge my phone via that. I would not recommend this product especially for International use. - Universal Travel Charger, Arrived on time, works just fine
I lost my cell phone's AC charger, but still had the car-charger. Buying the Universal Travel Charger (herein referred to as "The Adapter") was a good money-saving option instead of buying another AC charger.
The Adapter is a little 12 Volt adapter for using a cell-phone mobile-charger inside the home. It has an AC plug on one side, and has a 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket on the other side, providing a powered 12 Volt cigarette-lighter-socket inside the home.
It can't deliver much 12 Volt power, but it's sufficient and only intended for charging your cell phone with its mobile charger, which doesn't draw much 12 Volt power. It charges the phone's batteries, and also provides enough power for talking.
For example, if you have a radio (with loudspeakers attached) that can be powered by 12 Volts, it would certainly require more power than The Adapter could deliver, since room-filling loudspeakers require significant power. But, The Adapter could probably power an MP3 player with headphones (which require much less power than loudspeakers).
If you try to use The Adapter to power something besides a cell phone that draws more current than a cell phone, it's possible that a fuse inside The Adapter will blow out, leaving The Adapter dead. There is no user-resettable circuit breaker.
I don't know if it actually has an internal fuse, so if you plug in something besides a cell phone and it seems to be working, then give The Adapter a feel every now and then to see if it's getting too hot. Hot leads to fire. That's why there should be a fuse, but I can't confirm whether there is one.
By the way, The Adapter gets snugglingly warm when used with a cell phone. That's the way electronics are designed today. "Warm" is OK, "Hot" is not.
In summary, the Universal Travel Charger works fine for using cell-phone mobile-chargers inside the home. I've had mine for half a year, and use it for hours per week. No failures with mine. - Average Price for an Average Power
This product will work with units specified for low ampere. I bought the item to use with my air compressor, however, it did not work. But, if you want to recharge your cell phone, it will do the job.
